40th wedding anniversary

This place literally has it all. Everyone was close together but we all had our own separate casitas and the dancehall was a blast. And I can’t say enough about how it was managed. We were celebrating my parent's 40th wedding anniversary.

Great hill country stay

I loved the stay at the Alamo Resort. It was great for family and friends to mingle and roam. There's plenty of room for big family dinners, for kids to play while parents socialize and it's also only a few minutes to the Llano river.

A perfect 90th birthday party weekend for my mother

Last week we celebrated my mother's 90th birthday at the Alamo Resort and Dancehall and it was probably the best time we've had as a family in a decade. The manager had our favorite wine waiting for us when we arrived.

Beautiful and spacious property and very clean.

The grandchildren, all under seven, enjoyed the fire pit for marshmallow roasting and playing games in the dance hall. They also enjoyed climbing the trees and exploring nature trails. Hope to stay there again!

Get ready to explore!

We contacted the manager in November hoping to stay at one of the other ranches in his network but all of them were already booked. So he introduced us to this new property that had just been listed. So glad he did.

Wonderful escape from reality!

The parents loved it. The kids begged us not to leave. When 2 of my nieces started tugging my skirt and crying I made them ride home in a different car. This was a great place. An escape from reality!!!

Even better than expected

My family and I were very impressed with this property. More than we expected to be. The lodge is absolutely huge. And right down to the silverware everything was first class. (Something you can’t tell by the pictures).

Turnkey experience

Great place. Just as advertised. During the day everyone scattered across the ranch to walk around or go fishing and then we met back at mealtimes. Two guys found arrowheads on the river. Lots to do. No complaints.

Like the Good ole days

It was a great reunion at the Lone Star River Ranch. Phil was easy to get ahold of when we needed something. We were there for 2 days and didn’t see half the place. What we did see we loved.

Your family will love this place

My family and I have had 10 straight family reunions north of Brownwood and this year we decided to make a change. What a great decision. The Lone Star River Ranch has so much more room than the places we’ve stayed before.
